A great turnout tonight at Tombolo Books in St. Petersburg for an evening discussion on my new oral history book, “Ninety Miles and a Lifetime Away: Memories of Early Cuban Exiles.” Friends from St. Petersburg and Tampa were in the crowd of about 35 persons, and they asked great questions. I especially appreciated my narrator Jose Valiente of Tampa coming across the bay to be part of the program, and my friend Craig Pittman of St. Pete serving as conversation partner and ringmaster.
